Overview
As a student in NYU Wagner’s Online MHA program, you will participate in an in-person, two-and-a-half day required residential immersion in New York City during your second term. Immersion is an opportunity to connect with your cohort, faculty, and other members of the NYU community, while developing critical skills. During immersion, NYU Wagner covers lodging and most meals.

Immersion Course: Skill-Building for Healthcare Managers (1.5 credits)

Build effective management communication skills through an interactive, team-based negotiation simulation.
Leadership & Ethics
Discuss leadership and use feedback from an innovative 360 assessment tool to craft a personal leadership development plan.
Evidence-Based Management
Learn how to evaluate evidence and best use it to make effective decisions.
Career Development
Explore career development theories, reflect on your own career path, and learn how to tell your professional story.

The immersion is an opportunity to meet faculty and classmates living and working around the country, as well as put concepts learned in online courses into practice.
Relationship-building is an essential component of the health administration field, and the immersion helps you develop networks and lasting relationships that you can carry into your career in health administration.
During the immersion, you will have access to NYU’s facilities and resources, and attend both professional and social events with faculty and classmates.
